"See Mom I Can Reach" is an original fine art wildlife photograph by Sandra Huston.

A photograph of a Common Loon parent with its baby chick trying to groom it’s belly. Loon chicks grow very fast and mimic their parents every move. From learning how to keep its feathers groomed and healthy to diving and catching fish on their own. Loon parents are very attentive and will provide all the fish the chick needs to grow fast for the first 10 weeks. About 12 weeks old they will have all their juvenile feathers and spend a good amount of time strengthening out their wings by running on the surface of the water and trying to lift off. I never get tired of watching and photographing these amazing birds and look forward to camp each summer to watch them raise their young and listen to there haunting calls at night echoing across the lake.
