Description
Loon Locked on Dinner is an original wildlife photograph by Sandra Huston.
I watched this loon fishing in front of our lake shore deck on Woodbury Pond and could not pass up the opportunity to capture nature at its best. With this loon breaking up through the surface of the lake with water droplets clinging to its head locked on its prey just under the surface before it dives again. This male protects this small portion of Tacoma Lakes while its mate still sits on her nest waiting for there chick to hatch.
