This beautiful Purple Clematis was a present from my son for Mothers day and is growing beautifully in my summer garden in Lisbon Falls, Maine. This particular perennial is called Vanso Blue Light and blooms from early summer through fall, producing star-like blossoms that are pale to dark purple. In this capture I placed a black cloth behind the flowers to bring out the depth of the gorgeous violet blossoms highlighted by the setting sun.

After uploading this photograph I decided to use my artistic license and added a few layers of matching borders, a textured layer and a transparent frame for the public to enjoy. This artwork would look exceptional reproduced as a canvas, acrylic or metal print for any garden lover’s home or office.
