Description
"Spring Tulips" is an original fine art floral photograph by Sandra Huston.
Did you know that tulips are edible! It is said during World War II, tulips and tulip breads were often eaten by those who couldn't afford other foods. The flowers can be used to replace onions in many recipes and are even used to make wine. Tulips are part of the Liliaceae family, which also contains lilies, onions, garlic and asparagus. These beautiful blooms were captured in one of the Lisbon Falls welcome gardens that is scattered throughout my home town in Maine.
Honored to be featured in the following Fine Art America groups:
* Lady Photographers and Artists on 4/16/16
* Greeting Cards of all Occasions on 4/24/16
