Description
"Hummingbird Decor - Framed" is an original fine art floral photograph and wildlife digital artwork by Sandra Huston.
This is a photograph of a female Ruby-throated hummingbird captured at camp next to my feeder, I chose to crop the image, and add some blooms and plants that were growing in my planters as a new selection on the right hand side and lastly finished with a green matching boarder with a transparent frame to complete this hummingbird art decor for the public to enjoy.
Honored to be featured in the following Fine Art America and Pixels.com groups:

Fun facts: Hummingbirds eat a combination of nectar from flowers and small flying insects. The favored prey of ruby-throated hummingbirds is spiders, making up 60 to 80 percent of their diet. Hummingbirds also consume beetles and parasitic wasps, along with pests such as mosquitoes, ants, flies, gnats, aphids and mites. Hummingbirds hunt in the manner of a flycatcher, a type of bird that captures insects in flight. They also take advantage of spider webs, and will often consume both a spider's prey and the spider itself. To support their energy requirements, rubythroats must feed almost constantly during the day, at least every ten minutes. Each feeding lasts about 30 to 60 seconds. They feed at nectar sources not by sucking, but by licking three times each second. The rubythroats tongue is grooved and forked.
