These amazing birds of prey were photographed over Woodbury Pond part of a chain of ponds known as Tacoma Lakes in Litchfield, Maine over Labor Day weekend. Even though the Osprey is much smaller than the Bald Eagle it did not back down in this fight to keep its territory from being taken over by this mature Bald Eagle. This photograph is digitally enhanced to portray the violent fight between these two titans of the sky. The day before this poor Osprey fought with an immature eagle and now it has to battle a mature one too. As you can tell it has sustained damage to its primary feathers on its wing. But it never back down until both immature and mature eagle came back together. What a display, nature at its finest for sure!
After uploading this photograph I decided to use my artistic license and added matching borders with a transparent frame for the public to enjoy. This contemporary wildlife artwork would look exceptional in any nature lovers home or office.
