I captured this photograph of a immature eagle eating its fish on Woodbury Pond in Maine late in August. Even though it had spent nearly 5 minutes in the water fighting the fish it caught in its talons, it won the battle and jumped up on a lakeside dock to eat its kill. This photograph defines its strength and determination to survive. For myself and many others the world over eagles are a true symbol of strength, power and freedom.
