"Surfing Fun At Popham Beach In Fall" is an original fine art seascape photograph by Sandra Huston.

On the last week of September, I captured amazing photographs of the Atlantic surf pounding the shores of Popham Beach in Phippsburg, Maine. Many surfers and kayakers all delighted in the action of the awesome waves that the incoming tide provided that day. Popham Beach State Park has over 600 acres and is known for its dangerous waves and rip currents at high tide, as the Kennebec and Morse rivers converge here and meet the Atlantic Ocean. This was supposed to be a relaxing day of just sitting, sharing a picnic with my husband and listening to the waves on our last day of vacation. There was to be no relaxing for this photographer with all of the action the ocean and the daring surfers provided. The day turned out to be the perfect paradise for photographers, surfers both young and old alike. In this shot I captured the surfer just as he breached the first wave and a second wave was right on his heels.
