I captured these little Chickadees foraging in our backyard after one of our recent snow storms in late December that left us with a foot of fresh snow right after an ice storm that coated all the trees and branches in ice across Maine just before Christmas. With temperature 10 to 25 below zero the past few days looks like we are not going to see a thaw for a least a week. Thankfully with my bird feeders full I was able to capture my backyard visitors foraging before the sun set for the day with the ice still coating the pine needles on the north side of our Lisbon Falls, Maine property.
