This is # 8 of a 10 part series featuring photographs captured during a day at the beach at Popham Beach State Park in Phippsburg, Maine. Image eight features a partial view of Pond Island Lighthouse and Wood Island in the background with people walking the beach at low tide on a warm summer’s day late in August where the mouth of the Kennebec River meets the Atlantic Ocean at Popham Beach.
