Description
“A Protective Huddle” is an original loon photograph by Sandra Huston.
A ten part common loon family series documenting the first few weeks of a loon chick’s life photographed on Woodbury Pond part of Tacoma Lakes in Litchfield, Maine. This first image documents the loon parents huddled together as boats go by in the afternoon with the wind picking up making the lake a little too rough for their young chick to swim safely on its own.
